Of her game, she said, “I like to pass the ball, I’ve a good eye for a pass. I’m not the fastest but technically I’d say I was quite good.”

With a career spanning over a decade, Kirsty McLaughlin initially began her footballing career at local Ayrshire side Kilmarnock girls at the age of 7 and has player her entire career in the middle of the park.

Her range of passing allows her to pull the strings and control the play which has brought her great success on the pitch, most recently as part of Motherwell’s invincible SWPL2 winning side who also reached 2018’s Scottish Cup final.

Despite having had an extensive playing career, Kirsty nearly gave up the game before Eddie Wolecki Black swooped to bring her to Celtic, she has named her ex-Motherwell boss as having a particular influence on her football.

Of her game, she said, “I like to pass the ball, I’ve a good eye for a pass. I’m not the fastest but technically I’d say I was quite good.”
