Performance League sides gear up for big semi-final weekend

U19s and U15s

Celtic Girls Academy's two National Performance League sides are in League Cup semi-final action this weekend, with the under-19s hosting Aberdeen and the under-15s continuing their defence of the title against Hibs.

The under-15s, who scooped up an undefeated League and League Cup double, a Dana Cup victory and a Scottish Cup semi-final spot last term, take on Hibs on Saturday morning, after beating last years’ runners up Glasgow City 3-1 last month.

The under-15s head into the tie off the back of a phenomenal start to 2019, sitting top of the under-15s National Performance League with a 100%-win rate, scoring 33 and just conceding six after seven games.

Elsewhere, the under-19s host Aberdeen on Sunday, having also beaten Glasgow City at the quarter final stage, running out 4-2 winners. The Hoops welcome league leaders Aberdeen to East Kilbride, who they trail by four points, but with two games in hand.

Celtic under-15s play Hibs on Saturday 25 May, at Crownpoint in a 10am kick-off.

Celtic under-19s play Aberdeen on Sunday 26 May, at K-Park in East Kilbride in a 4pm kick-off.
